Serico

Serico Print Publication

When I designed my own print publication, I knew immediately that I wanted to make a quarterly about one of my favorite hobbies: screen printing. Serico (Latin for "ink") soon took on a strong human narrative and evolved to cover a wide range of topics related to people and printmaking.

My role:

  • Typesetting and layout design

  • Content curation

  • Screen printed cover and insert design + production

Naturally, I had to screen print part of Serico and produced the cover and a poster insert using the printing technique. For the autumn issue, I was thrilled to use fluorescent orange as the spot color in my leafy, otherwise naturalistic prints.
